The utility model discloses a motor-driven swing mechanism for sapphire slicing. The motor-driven swing mechanism comprises a swing head and a swing device; the swing head is connected with a sapphire workbench; the swing device is disposed in the swing head; the swing device comprises an arc-shaped rack, a swing member and a driving device, which are disposed on the swing head fixedly; the lower end of the swing device is provided with a gear; the gear is meshed with the arc-shaped rack; and the swing member is disposed on the swing head movably. During work, the driving device drives the swing member to swing and the swing member drives the swing head to swing through matching between the gear and the arc-shaped rack and thus drives a sapphire ingot to tilt leftward and rightward relative to the axis of the ingot, so the motor-driven swing mechanism enables a cut surface contacted with a diamond wire to be changed from the whole ingot to a partial cut surface with the axis of the ingot as the center, thereby enabling the diamond wire to cut the sapphire ingot quickly and improving cutting efficiency.
