Squamous cell carcinoma arising in a diabetic foot ulcer

Abstract Diabetic complications such as poor circulation and nerve damage can result in loss of sensation and slower wound healing in the lower extremities. The possibility of malignancy arising in association with chronic osteomyelitis in the diabetic foot should also be considered.
