The invention discloses a method and a device for performing classification interpolation on a moving point in deinterlacing design. The method comprises the following steps of: performing type judgment on the moving point, wherein a planar point model, an external right-angle point model, an internal right-angle point model, a foreground point model and an edge point model are involved; respectively processing the corresponding types, namely performing weighed averaging on six surrounding points of the planar point model, performing upper and lower point averaging on the points of the external right-angle point model, the internal right-angle point model and the foreground point model, and performing an interpolation algorithm based on the judgment of several neighboring domains and multiple directions on points of the edge point model; and outputting interpolation value points according to the above processing results. The method and the device have the beneficial effects that the edge of an object is effectively protected, and wrong processing caused by a reason that foreground points, right-angle points and the like are regarded as small angle edges is avoided; and an extremely good interpolation effect can be achieved.
