Study of fifty journals in Information Science from Latin Ame- rica and The Caribbean, used Latindex's directory (Regional Information System Online for scientific journals from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal), to identify the extent to which comes using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) software for publication as scientific production. Determines how many of these journals are developing a profile within the academic search: Google Scholar.
