Mass-analyzed threshold ionization (MATI) spectroscopy in a conventional time-of-flight mass spectrometer
1992
Abstract We report a simple method for obtaining a mass-analyzed threshold ionization spectrum, equivalent to a zero kinetic energy photoelectron spectrum, using a standard supersonic beam coupled to a commercial time of flight mass spectrometer. The resolution achieved without any change in the conventional experimental arrangement is 10 cm −1 (full width at half maximum).
