The invention discloses a novel reinforced concrete friction damper, which comprises an upper high-intensity reinforced concrete plate and a lower high-intensity reinforced concrete plate in contact with the upper high-intensity reinforced concrete plate, wherein the upper high-intensity reinforced concrete plate is fixed with an upper structure through an upper side plate, the lower high-intensity reinforced concrete plate is fixed with a lower structure through a lower side plate, the bottom of the lower high-intensity reinforced concrete plate is provided with a groove, a round steel gasket is arranged in the groove and is supported through an extrusion spring, a rectangular steel gasket is arranged under the extrusion spring, a regulating screw bolt passes through the rectangular steel gasket, the bottom of the regulating screw bolt is fixedly connected with a base through a fixing screw nut, and a regulating screw nut is arranged at a connecting part of the upper part and the bottom of the rectangular steel gasket and is used for regulating the pressure of the extrusion spring. The novel reinforced concrete friction damper has the advantages that the influence caused by horizontal earthquake effects on the upper structure can be isolated and weakened, the materials can be conveniently obtained, economy and practicability are realized, the process construction is simple, and the service life is long.
