ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF THE TREATMENT OF IRRADIATED FUEL

1963
The conditions under which the processing of irradiated fuel would be of economic interest are examined. Fuel elements with various enrichments from both power and research reactors are considered. The three factors analyzed in the study are the value of the recoverable material, the processing costs, and the transportation costs. An evaluation is first made of the annual quantity of irradiated fuel to be processed. (J.S.R.)
