The invention relates to an epoxy resin adhesive and a preparation method thereof, and in particular relates to an epoxy resin adhesive for encapsulating a lead-acid storage battery and a preparation method thereof. The epoxy resin adhesive for encapsulating the lead-acid storage battery consists of a component A and a component B, wherein the component A comprises the raw materials of bisphenol A epoxy resin, chemigum, an ethylene-vinyl acetate-carbon monoxide terpolymer, a maleic anhydride grafted compatilizer, a titanate coupling agent, neopentyl glycol diglycidyl ether, dimethylformamide, epoxypropane, polydimethylsilane, and p-phenylenediamine; and the component B comprises the raw materials of polyether amine, phenolic resin, benzyl alcohol, DBU (Diazabicyclo), resorcinol, 2, 6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol. The epoxy resin adhesive for encapsulating the lead-acid storage battery is outstanding in adhering performance and acid resistance, and high in mobility; the rubber ingredient added improves the toughness of the adhesive, and the existing flaw of the adhesive for the lead-acid storage battery can also be avoided.
