ABOUT WASTEWATER REUSE IN PB/ZN SULPHIDE FLOTATION IN THE PRESENCE OF CYANIDE

2005
In order to resolve the low selectivity problem in Pb/Zn sulphide flotation when wastewater containing cyanide is reused, flotation and absorption tests were conducted to analyse, together with the theoretically calculation of solution composition, the effects of copper concentration and pH on the reuse of water. It conclude that the state of copper cyanide complex has a strong influence on the reuse of water; waters from Pb and Zn flotation circuits should be recyeled separately within their respective circuits, and the pH should be above 9 when water is recycled.
