Aim-Background The aim of this study is to compare the outcome following open meshplasty for incisional hernia, using composite mesh and polypropylene mesh, with respect to hospital stay, complications (haematoma, seroma, wound infection, pulmonary infection, urinary tract infection), chronic pain (defined as postoperative pain lasting for more than three months), and recurrence rates.
