Studies on the Inhalation Toxicity of Dyes Present in Colored Smoke Munitions. Phase I Studies: Generation and Characterization of Dye Aerosol

Abstract : The USAMBRDL has an interest in the potential inhalation toxicity of yellow dye (SY) and a yellow/green dye mixture (SY/SG) used in colored smoke munitions. A method for generation of respirable size particles of SY and SY/SG dye materials for inhalation toxicity studies with these dyes has been developed.
