A new spectrophotometric method for the micro determination of sulfuric acid esters in sulfatide fractions

1960
A new micro method has been developed for measuring sulfatide fractions. Sulfuric acid ester absorption is measured at 8.02 μm (μ) by infrared spectrophotometry, compared with that of a standard sulfatide, and corrected for phosphorus. General problems in measuring sulfatides are noted; procedural details, control studies, advantages, and limitations of the present method are discussed.
