Development on Health Risks Information Management System of Environmental Pollution

Objective To establish the health risks information management system of environmental pollution.Methods Environmental Contamination and Health Information Database(ECHID)was designed based on Principles of Visual Programming and Software Engineering theory,using MSSQL Server 2008 as database platform and combining Relational and Object-oriented Geospatial Database as design methods.Results A GIS-based Environmental Contamination and Health Information Management System(ECHIMS) was developed,which supported the integration operation of management,inquiry,visual display,intelligent analysis,and report generating to the attributive date and spatial date of environmental contamination and health information.Conclusion The system can be used in health risk assessment,and characterize the distribution and trends of health risk dynamically and visually.
