Calculation of the main electrical engineering parameters of glass-melted furnaces

A method is proposed for calculating the main electrical engineering parameters of a multiphase electric glass-melting furnace with electrodes near the walls. This method is based on modeling the glass melting processes using electrical parameters which have been averaged out over the phases. The proposed method is distinguished by its simplicity and by an accuracy sufficient for the engineering calculations. It correctly reflects the nature of the electrical phenomena.
