Thermophysical properties of concrete measured by the pulse transient method using slab and cuboid models

2020
The measurements of thermophysical properties have been performed on the concrete-based composites. The industrial development invokes the increased growth of the problem with waste disposal. The results in changes of the thermophysical properties as the effect of waste materials content like plastic and horse manure filler are shown. The pulse transient method was used for measuring the thermal response to the heat pulse. This response can be described by the model. For the estimation of the parameters, we used the ideal model, cuboid model and slab model. The slab model accounting the effect of the heat capacity of the heat source as well as the heat transfer coefficient in between the heat source and the sample that is adequate to the thermal contact resistance. The cuboid model accounts the heat transfer coefficient between the sample surface and surrounding in a radial direction. This paper aims to show the methodology of parameters estimation even for non-ideal conditions of the measurements. The used methodology of parameters estimation shows the analysis of measurements that help to improve the data reliability.
