The level of CA 242 and CEA has been studied during gastric cancer treatment. Analyses have been carried out preoperatively and postoperatively as well as prior and following chemotherapy. These oncomarkers can be used for the evaluation of the treatment carried out. CA 242 has been shown to be more effective than CEA.
