STUDIES ON THE GENUS IXODES IN CHINA (ACARI: IXODIDAE)

The present paper deals with nine species of the genus Ixodes in China. Among them Inxdes (Pholeoixodes) myospalaeis is described as new to science, and 1 (Ixodes) spinicoxalis Neumann and Z. (I.) kashmiricus Pomerantzev are recorded for the first time from this country. A key to the twenty Chinese known species of the genus Ixodes is provided in the Chinese text.Ixodes (Pholeoixodes) myospalacis sp. nov.Female (figs. 1-5): Closely allied to Ixodes (Pholeonodes)kaiseri Arthur, but auriculae of basis capituli distinct and ridgelike, coxae I with short internal spurs, and cornuae short and stout, whereas in I.
