Cost Benefit Opportunity for End Use Segment Using Lighting Retrofit at Taylor’s University

2020
In the present days, the increasing demand for energy utilization has become a major issue due to the growth factor of greenhouse gas emissions and identified environmental problems. Energy assessment work is one of the key tasks to examine how the different facilities use energy, which facility pays for that energy and identify energy efficiency improvement opportunities that is cost-effective in reducing energy consumption. Barriers to successful implementation of energy efficiency measures in small commercial markets include lack of information on cost effective energy saving targets. The increasing demand for energy utilization poses the need for cost effective lighting retrofit together with the ambient control for comfort. In this work each type of lamp of the testing vicinity iss recorded along with the preferred lux level. The number of LEDs required is calculated and the required lux is maintained for all of the lightings need not be retrofitted with the optimal value setting. Therefore, cost-benefit analysis is calculated based on each zone with different number and types of lighting and the recommendations are putforth.
