Abstract The surface properties of bone tissue engineered scaffolds are essential for cell attachment, proliferation, and differentiation. Calcium fluoride-doped hydroxyapatite (F-HA) coating prepared by pulsed laser deposition can rapidly form a nanopore structure through ion exchange in the simulated body fluid. Results showed that F-HA coating can accelerate the apatite-like deposition and improve the corrosion resistance of the coating.
