ESR and NMR Studies of Lipid-Protein Interactions in Membranes
1983
Spontaneous associations between lipids and proteins, especially the dynamics of these associations, are of interest to biologists and physical chemists. A complete description of the lipid-protein organization in membranes will come from convergent studies. At the present time, different approaches to lipid-protein association are a necessity in biological systems which exhibit variable degrees of complexity. Different techniques, which are essentially complementary rather than competitive, are required; among the useful techniques is magnetic resonance.
