Transition radiation spectra control

2009
The transition radiation (TR) theory of electron bunches passing through diaphragms of different geometries is developed. The induced charges and currents in the conductive diaphragms, generated by electron bunches, are the basis of this theory. The important role of grounding points of diaphragms is shown. Possibility of control of TR spectra and TR polar patterns is studied. The new design of diaphragms — double diaphragms is proposed. TR spectra are calculated when electron bunches pass through double diaphragm system.
