STATUS OF INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT OFFERINGS.

International management is alive and well through it seems at the moment to have lost some of its glamour. In the future the multi-national firm will be the dominant form of business enterprise. The study of international business problems and operations serves as a potential unifying force in most business curricula in that it calls for a harmonization of diverse intellectual disciplines. The difficulty is, however, that a study of the international scene tends to be sort of superimposed on the business curricula. One approach that seems to be effective is to develop international programs which are staffed by faculty members from several different parts of the school, or even the university. In terms of the future, I see more exchange programs and more faculty from abroad working in our schools of business. I also see an interest in our becoming regarding developments abroad rather than merely teachers.
