Dosimetry device for medically used particle accelerators

BS>A new type of dosimeter is described which fulfills every task of radiation measurement on medically used accelerators. It works with 2 paths (measuring and control path) independent one from the other which disconnect the accelerator, as soon as the wanted dose is reached or in case of a disturbance in the dosimeter itself or in the accelerator. The homogeneity of the beam bundle used is checked continuously. The apparatus can be used for calibration of the measuring counter and for control of the particle energy. In this way it replaces a number of other necessary auxilliary equipment. (GE)
