Now It Is Permitted

2018
Curated by artist Bridget Smith in association with Mansions of the Future, Now It Is Permitted is a year-long public art project that is taking place in various sites in Lincoln. The project takes the form of large-scale printed posters by 72 artists, each containing a ‘visionary’ text or phrase created by each artist - displayed on hoardings and billboards in public sites. An electronic billboard in Lincoln train station also displayed the ‘poster’ works as a digital rendition of the series. The work is on constant display between July 2018 and August 2019 in various sites around Lincoln. The project was produced in association with Mansions of the Future, The Swedenborg Society and Fraser Muggeridge Studio.
