Pharmacogenetics in Cancer Treatment: Challenges and Recent Trends

2020
Cancer is a genetic disorder of the genome leading from different types of genetic mutations. Cancer genomics has improved the cancer pathogenesis leading toward potential future therapeutics. Advanced techniques like next-generation sequencing-based testing of carcinomas offer new insights into endometrial carcinogens and opportunities for improved tumor surveillance, diagnosis, and management. Novel strategies target the microbial genome for therapeutic drives by which adapted medicines can be generated for curing many types of cancers. Further advancements are required in genome-based technologies, such as high-throughput innovations, improvement of gene expression arrays, and functionally significant candidate genes. Transgenic and knockout approaches could likewise be used for setting up the key components that helps in drug response against cancer. But further research is needed from larger cancer populations along with validated pharmacogenetic markers prior to application in diagnostics.
