Study on Aging Strengthening Mechanism of Cr-Zr Microalloyed Copper Alloy

2018
The mechanical properties of Cu-Cr-Zr alloy with different aging process were tested, and the microstructure of the alloy was observed by metallographic microscope(OM) and transmission electron microscope(TEM). The result shows that, after 450 ℃/4 h aging, the peak aging strength of the alloy is obtained, and the increase of the strength is mainly due to the dispersive coherent precipitation. The maximum tensile stress increment(Δσcsmax) and the range of tensile strength(σb) of the alloy after aging were estimated according to the formula of coherent strengthening mechanism. The model can reflect the strength change during the aging process of precipitated strengthened copper alloy. The experimental results are in good agreement with the calculated results, which has a certain guiding significance for practical production and application.
