A new method to treat restenosis of arteries after angioplasty is the use of percutaneously implantable endovascular prostheses. We describe the radiologic and histologic findings in a patient in whom a Wallstent (Medinvent, Lausanne, Switzerland) self-expandable endovascular iliac prosthesis was in place for 2 years before it was removed
