Designing z transform packets for relational databases

Abstract Relational database systems are attracting interest from applications outside the commercial areas for which these systems were initially designed. In particular, the strong need for the efficient management of engineering and design data has triggered research on the requirements of such systems and on extensions to existing database systems. In this paper, a package for z-transforms for discrete-time systems is developed that allows online manipulation of a continuous system database as the significant parameters change. A description of the design functions that must be included in the software is also included.
