Study on the Universal Design of Rehabilitation System for the Enhancement of Muscular Strength and Balance

2 It is necessary to consider the user¶s needs in order to develop rehabilitation system that improves the capabilities of residual functions of people with disability. Universal design for healthcare technology is becoming more important to the rehabilitation system. The objective of this study was to study the universal design of rehabilitation system for the enhancement of the muscular strength and balance. The universal design techniques for the exercise and therapeutic training will be improved user¶s muscular strength and balance for the elderly and people with disability as well as healthy young adults.
