Research on safety control standards for anti-floating stability of hydropower house

To establish a new safety control standards for anti-floating stability of hydropower house,a calibration analysis on reliability for anti-floating stability of hydropower house is conducted using the first-order second-moment method.The calibration shows that the mean reliability index value of anti-floating stability for hydropower house designed according to current design code is far below the recommended values in the GB 50199-1994.We suggest that the safety level of anti-floating stability shall be slightly raised when revising the current design code,and the values for safety factor are proposed.Design calculations show that the anti-floating stability of a hydropower house is basically controlled by the cases of abnormal operation or powerhouse without unit installation.Only a few projects may need a little additional investment to satisfy the proposed safety factor of anti-floating stability.
