Magnetic failure analysis in the feeder of a WRIM using finite elements with Comsol

This article presents an application of finite elements via Comsol© to study magnetic deformation generated in a WRIM (Wound Rotor Induction Motor) by electrical faults in power supply. The failures studied are unbalance in the supply and absence condition of one phase. Finally the results are analyzed and the possible repercussions are defined for each failure.
