Determination of trace mercury by currentless stripping chronopotentiometry

1988
Trace mercury was determined by currentless stripping chronopotentionmetry. The dissolution oxidant was dissolved oxygen in a supporting electrolyte of various complexants. With other conditions constant the transition time was a linear function of the mercury(II) concentration between 2 x 10/sup -7/ and 1 x 10/sup -5/ M. An artificial mixture containing Hg(II), Cu(II), and Bi(III), and Sb(III) was analyzed for mercury.
