Controlled synthesis of PbWO4 dendrites by a simple sonochemical method

Abstract In this paper, we report a simple sonochemical method to synthesize PbWO 4 dendrites without any templates. The obtained products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The effect of the pH value, precursor and reaction time on the formation of PbWO 4 dendrites was investigated. It is found that the obtained PbWO 4 dendrites were composed of clusters of nanorods. It is rational to expect that dendritic structures of other oxides may also be synthesized by this simple method.
