URANIUM CONTENT OF OXIDIZING OILS

1960
Data are given on the uranium distribution in oils and in ashes of oils from paleogene sediments of the Fergana depression, depending on their specific weight and general ash content. Results of uranium extraction from natural waters by oils also are given. The results show that the principal enrichment of oils in uranium occurs during their oxidation under the influence of infiltration sheet waters, the capacity for uranium extraction from underground waters increasing with the increase of the oxidation degree of oils.
