In this paper it is analyzed the efficacy of an intervention program based on peer tutoring and aimed at improving the working and studying habits of university students. The sample was composed by 100 first year students and 41 students from last year and postgraduate level from four different careers at the University of Granada. Working and studying habits were measured by the Pozar’s Study Habits Inventory (2002). The intervention consisted of a ten individual tutoring sessions highly structured to first year students given by students from last year and postgraduate level, after receiving four sessions of training on tutoring. The results yield statistically significant differences in working and studying habits on participants.
