Quick test to diagnostic developmental dyslexia in children based on Bishop and Snowling model of reading comprehension

2020
The identification of Developmental dyslexia in early stages is relevant because an intervention remedial strategy will get better outcomes, and the time that take discover dyslexia, and design and implementation of an intervention remedial is generally extensive, the proposal is a faster diagnostic process to detect developmental dyslexia. There’s no simple criteria to diagnostic dyslexia and the common tests are extensive, generally a development dyslexia test has many subtest which work together to measure on a specific aspect, the proposal use the model of two dimensions of language and readers disabilities of Bishop and Snowling, which is consistent with their Simple View of Reading framework of Gough and Tummer. The study obtain the sample with children with disorder language preselected and enrolled at public school in order to determine whose will be candidates for a future remedial intervention, once gets the information of every child then analyze correlations between variables is order to enrich a personal model of development; the proposal is a quick test to detect dyslexia and provide data to a system software to formulate a model that detect pattern of disorder of language, continuous measures could help to articulate a model that indicate quantitative and qualitative changes. The findings of this study are very similar to previous research studies on remedial training, in general are positive and show slight tendencies but do not show clear relationships, the evaluation of the test is a solid considering with the brief time of its use.
