Modal Analysis of Humerus Bone Using FEA

The main objective of this paper is to deduce the effect of vibration on human hand. The longest bone in the arm is the humerus bone that connects the elbow to the shoulder. Finite element method is used to carry out the simulation on the humerus bone. The results of simulation give the natural frequencies of the bone under varying boundary conditions. The natural frequencies are used to generate the mode shape result for six modes. FEA software Solid Edge is used to create a profile of humerus bone and the simulation is carried out in ANSYS 14.5.
