Liquid collection device and method thereof

By means of this blood collection device (1), it is possible to rapidly collect blood even in the case of depressed blood pressure due to the physiological state of the animal by means of actively pushing/pulling blood by means of an aspirating/discharging mechanism (5). Also, by providing a first duct (2) and second duct (3) having a predetermined length, the present invention has ducts having a pre-stipulated length and a known volume, and so it is possible to collect a stipulated volume amount without measuring the collection amount or length of blood by means of a volume measurement means (for example, an optical measurement means). In such a manner, it is possible to increase the compactness of the blood collection device (1) by means of a measurement means becoming unnecessary, and it is possible to reduce dead volume by means of being disposed in the vicinity of an animal. Furthermore, blood is caused to flow in a fourth duct (23) branched at a connection terminal (21) and flowed through the second duct (3) branched at a connection terminal (6), and the blood flowing within the second duct (3) branched at connection terminal (6) is collected with the highest priority, and so it is possible to collect fresh blood from a collection source that is the source of supply of blood.
