The invention provides a method for loading safety key storage hardware and a browser client device. The method comprises the steps of automatically identifying the safety key storage hard in which an interface of a terminal of the browser client is inserted; reading and displaying an user certificate stored in the safety key storage hardware through the browser client to a user for selecting; identifying an identity of the user when the browser client receives the selection information of the user to the user certificate; loading the user certificate content corresponding to the selection information after passing identity identification. With the adoption of the method, the content of the user certificate stored in the safety key storage hardware is loaded under the condition that the user identity can be confirmed, and therefore, the user certificate stored in the safety key storage hardware can be prevented from leaking, and as a result, the safety of the safety key storage hardware in loading can be improved.
