Surface diffusion of chemisorbed sulfur on nickel (111)

Abstract The diffusion coefficient of sulfur adatoms on Ni(111) was determined at 650 K by measuring with Auger electron spectroscopy the diffusional radial spreading from a central source. The results were analyzed in terms of a surface-coverage dependent diffusion model and good agreement was observed at fractional saturation coverage θ
