Comportamento inicial de clones de conilon “Vitória INCAPER 8142” em área infestada por Meloidogyne paranaensis no sudoeste de Minas Gerais

2013
The root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) Is a major disease affecting coffee. Their infection depreciates qualitatively and quantitatively the roots of coffee, also generating the loss in production. Thus, this study was conducted with the objective of selecting clones of Coffea canephora Conilon, hoping to reach the end of the project with the availability of at least one clone Conilon resistant nematodes. The experiment was carried out at Guaicara in Piumhi, Southwest of Minas Gerais. We used seven clones of the variety Conilon Victory "INCAPER 8142", five resistant and two susceptible to M. paranaensis, plus control Catuai Vermelho IAC 99. It was used a randomized block design, with five replicates of seven plants per plot. The variety Conilon Robustao "EMCAPA 8141" was used as the boundary contour of the experiment and every two installments. With this result we can conclude that the behavior was similar to initial vegetative clones studied, except clone 14 and the control cv. Catuai. All plots have a high and homogeneous infestation M. paranaensis.
