The method includes the steps that extracting, D101 macroporous adsorption resin separating, silica gel chromatography separating, DAC chromatograph separating, silica gel chromatography separating and secondary DAC chromatograph separating are carried out, chromatographic analysis is combined in the process, and a pure product of ellagic acid is separated from the oil tea camellia leaves step by step. According to the method, the ellagic acid is firstly and successfully extracted from camellia plants, and the extracting method has the advantages of being high in yield and product accuracy and the like.
