Study of Power Quality Disturbance Location Based On MUDW

The power quality disturbance detection signal has random and irregular characteristics. In this paper, we improve the prototype of morphological inverse transform wavelet decomposition (MUDW) and apply it to power quality detection for detecting disturbance signals. An improved MUDW scheme includes a wide open close or closed open filter and morphological gradient that detects mutations on the top and edge of the signal. This method satisfies the signal reconstruction condition. This method uses MATLB which detects transient or steady states with a single or multiple disturbance signal and compares it with an existing form of sampling wavelet. As the result, it was shown that the new MUDW system could detect signal quality, the noise immunity was good.
