The invention provides an intelligent household electrical appliance monitoring system, comprising an intelligent household electrical appliance, an electric quantity module, a home gateway and a monitoring server. The control module of the intelligent household electrical appliance and the electric quantity collecting module of the electric quantity module collect the status information and the electric quantity information and send the status information and the electric quantity information to the home gateway respectively. The home gateway binds the status information with the electric quantity information and sends the status information and the electric quantity information to the monitoring server. The monitoring server generates control information and sends the control information to the home gateway according to the status information, the electric quantity information and predetermined strategies. The home gateway sends the control information to the corresponding control module of the intelligent household electrical appliance and controls the operation of the intelligent household electrical appliance. The invention also provides an intelligent household electrical appliance monitoring method. By collecting the electricity utilization information of the intelligent household electrical appliance, the monitoring server can calculate and analyze the electricity utilization information of the intelligent household electrical appliance of all families and monitor the electricity quantity and the operational state of the electrical appliance of users in real time according to the various predetermined strategies. In addition, the monitoring server can provide the electricity utilization information of the intelligent household electrical appliance in real time and control the operation of the intelligent household electrical appliance.
