New and poorly known species of Molophilus Curtis crane flies from Australia (Diptera: Limoniidae)

Seven new species of Australian Molophilus Curtis are described: M. (Molophilus) arte sp. n., M. (Molophilus) breeae sp. n., M. (Molophilus) buangensis sp. n., M. (Molophilus) charliensis sp. n., M. (Molophilus) lindi sp. n., M. (Molophilus) paradisensis sp. n. and M. (Molophilus) pauli sp. n. The new species belong in either the plagiatus group (M. (M.) arte and M. (M.) buangensis) or the gracilis group. In addition, the poorly known species M. (Lyriomolophilus) lyratus Alexander, 1927 is discussed and the hypopygium is figured.
