Optical and environmental performance of an epoxy-less, metallic, single-mode SC-UPC ferrolder® based connector

This paper presents optical and environmental test results on SC-UPC pigtails terminated with Ferrolder® and zirconia ferrules. The Ferrolder, a ferrule and holder in one solution, is an epoxy-less replacement for ceramic ferrule and holder.
