Simulation Study of Magnetic Response of Magnetic Nanoparticles for Temperature Measurement under Different Selection Magnetic Field

2018
The thermal effect of magneitc nanoparticles(MNPs) under alternating electromagnetic field can be widely used in targeted magnetic thermal therapy, and the non-linear magnetic response based method for MNPs has shown its possibility for monitoring and mapping the temperature distribution remotely, even for deep tissue. However, it is still unclear how the magnetic fields will affect the sensitivity of the temperature measurement. Based on Langevin function, simulation studies were carried out for the verification different gradient field on the magnetic response of the MNPs. The results show that with gradient field implied, the sensitivity for temperature measurement will be improved.
