Magnetization process in heavy fermion system

The metamagnetic-like magnetization process in CeRu 2 Si 2 is obtained by a model of weakly interacting SU( N ) Kondo centers. The shortage of the model (a large Kondo temperature and a ferromagnetic intersite coupling) is traced back to the collective nature of the singlet heavy Fermion ground state.
