Synthetic method of organic tellurium compound chain transfer agent and application thereof in active free radical polymerization

2013
The invention relates to a synthetic method of an organic tellurium compound chain transfer agent. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps of: suspending tellurium in a solvent to obtain a turbid liquid which is under production in a N2 or Ar atmosphere; dropwise adding an organic lithium compound RLi into the turbid liquid, adequately stirring, reacting for 20min-2 hours at -20 DEG C to 30 DEG C; after simple substance Te in the reactant is completely reacted and solid suspension disappears, dropwise adding a compound alpha-halogenated acid ester into the system; adequately stirring, reacting for 20min-2 hours at -20 DEG C to 30 DEG C; adding deoxidized deionized water into a reaction bottle containing the organic tellurium compound chain transfer agent; and then, adding a thermal decomposition type free radical initiator or a photoinitiator, and a monomer, uniformly mixing, freezing with liquid nitrogen for degassing to removing oxygen, and heating and lighting to initiate polymerization reaction. According to the invention, the structures of polymerizates, such as relative molecular mass, copolymerization structure and sequence structure of the polymer, can be precisely controlled and regulated.
