The invention relates to a modular system (1) for an evaporator means (2) of a rooftop air conditioner (3) with at least one standard frame (4) having at least two slots (6) for one evaporator unit (5) and at least two evaporator units (5) for installation in the slots (6). This makes it possible to create a flexible structure of a rooftop air conditioner (3).
